Many people invest significantly in a house on the Costa Blanca, yet the outdoor area often remains underdeveloped. A well-designed garden becomes a true extension of the living space — especially valuable during the many mild summer evenings here. We create gardens that are beautiful, low-maintenance, water-efficient, and adapted to the Mediterranean climate.
Holiday guests on the Costa Blanca don't choose on price and location alone. They choose the complete picture: a beautiful property with a garden they actually want to be in — evenings outside, lighting, atmosphere, somewhere worth staying. Offer that, and you're no longer competing with the listing two scrolls down on Airbnb or Booking. A professionally designed garden, together with a well-maintained property, is what makes guests book — and pay more per night to do so.

We complement your architectural work with professional landscape architecture. From one of Berlin's larger landscape architecture offices with decades of experience in complex projects, we now operate directly on the Costa Blanca.
We understand the rhythm of architecture and development processes: deadlines, interfaces, approvals, and construction documentation. The best overall results are achieved when outdoor space is thoughtfully integrated from the early planning stages.
A realized example is the DVG data center in Hannover, developed in close collaboration with the architects Hascher and Jehle. We created a high-quality Mediterranean-style interior landscape that harmoniously completed the project.
We deliver precise, construction-ready landscape plans that integrate smoothly into your design. This results in fully resolved properties for your clients and projects that meet the highest standards without unnecessary extra effort.
We have long-standing experience working successfully with architects, developers, and investors. Reliability, clear communication, and practical solutions are our standard. We bring this expertise to the Costa Blanca today.
Outdoor space as a sales asset. Planned like a product.

When exceptional landscapes become business assets
Great hotels do not compete on rooms alone. They compete on experience, perception, and the time guests choose to spend on the property.
This is what that looks like in practice.

Starting point

Moderate repositioning — activating F&B revenue without reducing guest space

Full repositioning — concept study
Repositioning is not all-or-nothing. Some properties need a few targeted interventions to unlock significant F&B and on-site spending. Others have the scale and ambition to be fundamentally reimagined. Either way, the outdoor space audit tells you exactly where your property sits — and what level of intervention makes sense for your goals and your budget.
Outdoor spaces directly influence Average Daily Rate (ADR), Food & Beverage performance, and overall profitability. A well-repositioned landscape does three things at once:
Every additional hour a guest spends within the hotel grounds creates opportunities for consumption — breakfast, lunch, cocktails, dinner, spontaneous purchases.
We analyse hotel grounds from the guest's perspective — and identify exactly where outdoor space is losing revenue, lowering ratings, and preventing return visits.
A couple on their first trip needs somewhere to retreat to on the property. Without it, they leave — and every hour spent outside the hotel is revenue and atmosphere that belongs to someone else.
A business traveller arriving late wants to work outside before sleeping. Without a considered outdoor space, he stays in his room or leaves.
A courtyard without acoustic management means voices carry across the entire building. Guests sleep badly. Reviews suffer.
These are not aesthetic problems. They are operational ones. And they are precisely what landscape repositioning solves.

This project was developed for a corporate headquarters in Germany. The objective was to create the perception of a Mediterranean landscape for employees without external views — using mature olive trees, structured planting, and considered light to transform an interior atrium into an environment people chose to spend time in. It demonstrates our ability to transform architecture through landscape. The principle is directly transferable to hospitality environments.

For hotel and resort projects, we operate throughout Spain — mainland, Balearic Islands, and Canary Islands. For private residential clients, our focus remains the northern Costa Blanca.

Edelgard Jost

Nicolás Leonard Jost
Edelgard Jost, a qualified landscape architect, has been running her own practice since 1982. After completing her studies at the Technical University of Berlin, she founded Trillitzsch, Jost & Partner – one of the larger landscape architecture offices in Berlin with up to 25 employees.
She now works together with her son Nicolás Leonard Jost, also a qualified landscape architect. After the Berlin office closed, Nicolás initiated the move and the founding of Costa Blanca Garden Studio.
Together they combine decades of experience in large-scale and complex projects with a fresh perspective: Edelgard's deep seniority and knowledge of Mediterranean planting, local conditions, and Spanish building regulations, paired with Nicolás' contemporary approach.
